Analysis
First and foremost, if we talk about the film’s storyline, the writer and director, Timothy Spanos, took a creative approach. He wrote an exciting story with some good plot twists and an intriguing storyline. The audience was captivated by the storyline as it provided some good plot twists. Still, occasionally, there were some points where it became too easily predictable, and the pacing of the film was a bit slow throughout, even after the short length of the film. Also, the horror of the film is okay, and not very good, the storyline is good and the plot twists work, but when it comes to horror then, it is below average, as it is easily predictable and more okay to watch than being.
Now, talking about the film’s acting department then, Mercia Deane-Johns, performed well and overall gave what was needed. But if we talk about the rest of the cast, then some actors over-acted, like Zachariah Blampied, and some seemed under-performed like they were holding something back. The overall acting department performed below average, and it is the department where this film lagged so much.
Talking about the film’s music, it is good and mostly blends with the ongoing sequence on the screen. However, there were some scenes where the music failed to excite the audience. As a horror movie, this film also uses the same technique of building up the music and then suddenly dropping it to make the audience feel the impact, but this is where the music occasionally fails.
Now, if we talk about the film’s cinematography, then this film does not fulfill the requirement. The shots in the movie look like they are taken by a rookie, and not a professional, also the shots are shaky. Sometimes the cameraman fails to point out some crucial details with the focus of the camera, and also the colors used in the film are off there is a lot of movies that follow the same color theme as this movie used, but they just seem off.
What’s There?
• The film’s storyline is overall good.
• The music of the film is overall good.
What’s Not There?
• The acting department of the film is weak.
• The cinematography of the film is poor.
• The horror in the movie does not seem horrifying at all.
Verdict
For the people who want to pass their time while watching something good, as the storyline and music of the film are good, also while having some popcorn and just chilling. Note that this film’s cinematography and acting department might become torture for you. So, watch accordingly.
