Star performance
The actors have done a decent job. Nobody is a standout in this film. But they do what they’ve been asked to do. The two main leads portray the sense of urgency well.
Analysis
The film wants to be a Stephen King Stephen King is a renowned American novelist, colu >> Read More... novel. And adds elements of mystery but fails in execution it feels like different movie screenplays have been used in this. The film starts on a good note, establishes its character well and shows character development. But the other characters are so cliche you would see them coming from a mile. The film also sort of drags itself in the middle a murder investigation, sudden details even from a mystery aspect the film has several elements but is confused in what they want to pick up on. The film has several loopholes, even if they went with the open to interpretation angle it doesn't pan out like that. The film begins with a bang but as the story progresses the deterioration starts. The ending is an afterthought that feels rushed and was probably written to end the film somehow. Private Number wanted to be a psychologically edgy film but the screenplay and a way too obvious story disappoint this film.

Verdict
Private Number can be watched for its premise, decent acting performances even though the story doesn’t pan out well it wouldn’t hurt to watch this film once.
