Nowadays the animation movies have some message or the other to convey. Well, let’s see what message does Norm of the North has to convey. And let’s also find out whether the execution is done well.
Plot
Norm, the polar bear, is a goodie-goodie bear. He has the capability to speak with human beings. The other person who shares his prowess is his own grandfather who is being held by a business tycoon Greene. Norm is being estranged from his friends for not being someone similar to them.

and develops a good rapport with Vera and Olympia, who share the bond of mother and daughter. He learns from Vera that Mr. Greene will make use of his homeland Arctic for bringing up a residential complex.
Norm, who is visibly shocked by this, heads to Manhattan in a ship along with three lemmings. His prudent mentor Socrates also helps him.

The voice-overs are not up to the mark. But more than the actors who have lent their voice the blame should be on the loud animation style.
Analysis
Trevor Wall, the director of Norm of the North, has tried to convey a message on environmentalism. This is something commendable. However, the makers have taken the kids for granted and felt that they could satisfy these little ones with cuteness, wacky gimmicks, and dancing. But I am sure the kids of nowadays want something more.
