Plot: Hercules is the head of a Legionnaire with many subservient people such as Amphiaraus ( Ian McShane He is a skilled voice actor, great director and pr >> Read More... ), Autolycus(Rufus Sewell), Tydeus(Aksel Hennie), etc. He is regarded to be the son of Zeus. Hercules has got an incredible combat skill. Often he gets obsessed with memories of his wife and daughters death by his hands. But Rhesus got his army more strong as he joined hands with Bessi tribe. So Cotys requests Hercules to win the war. Hercules successfully defeats both Bessi and Rhesus troops. Rhesus was captured and was disgraced by the people.

Hercules shows mercy on him and asks about the burnt villages that Rhesus did not do. Hercules decides to stay back along with Autolycus and stop the greedy Cotys, but, unfortunately, gets captured by general Sitacles (Peter Mullan). Meanwhile, King Eurystheus, who is in the ally with Cotys, reveals that he killed Hercules family, considering them as a menace to him. Also, Ergenia is planned to be executed since she betrayed them. Hercules savages everyone and saves Ergenia and Rhesus. Cotys’s son Arius becomes the ruler along with Ergenia. His physique, rendition was so perfect.

Director Brett Ratner has shared that he has expressed each character’s emotions profoundly. But on screen, almost all the characters, including the villain were a bit sore only. The first half was so slow and boring. Action scenes have touched both the extremes; at times making us dumbstruck, and at the other times so plain. Even all the weapons have been explained in detail.

The epic army scene against the Bessi was a notable one. Other than that it was just duels all over the movie. The extended cut was so graphical, but not satisfying as well.

Verdict: Certain parts were missing. But Hercules is not a disappointing one.
