Plot

After escaping the “Escape Rooms” by Minos Corporation, Zoey and Ben decide to confront the organization. They reach the abandoned headquarters and someone steals Zoey’s necklace there. She and Ben chases him into a subway train and the train car separates from the rest of the train. Zoey and Ben are inside the car with Rachel, Brianna, Nathan, and Theo, and they realize they are back in another game of Minos. What will happen next? Will they all escape safely or will there be only one survivor?

Star Performance

The movie had a very talented and versatile cast which was a huge bonus for this film. Even the supporting characters were excellent. Taylor Russell’s screen presence was next level.

Analysis

The movie justifies its tagline “Winning was just the beginning” since everybody in the room was the winner of previous escape rooms. The tension and fear while solving the puzzles and not knowing what could happen next were beautifully portrayed. Though the motives of everyone were different, Zoey wanted to find out who is behind the whole escape room while Ben was there to repay her favor the ultimate goal was to get out safely first.

What’s There?

• Non-stop action scenes which were fantastic.
• The audiotrack enhanced the intensity of the film.
• The puzzles of the escape room were better than the first part

What’s Not There?

• The movie had a similar vibe to the first installment.
• Even though new twists and puzzles were introduced, they seemed predictable.

Verdict

This action-packed thriller movie is definitely worth watching and you won’t regret watching this.
