Cult Of Chucky Movie Review

Horror is a genre which has always scared and startled the viewers. Cult of Chucky is the seventh segment of the franchise directed by Don Maccini. It stars Brad Dourif as Chucky, and other casts including Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Jennifer Tilly The Canadian-American, actress and poker player, b >> Read More... and Summer H Howell all of them being the recurring cast members of the previous films. In this film, Maccini takes things to an even more extensive and peculiar direction.

Plot :

Picking the main plotline from the previous film ‘Curse of Chucky’, with Nica (Fiona Dourif) who is framed for the murder spree of Chucky and is sent to a mental asylum, where she is kept with many Chucky dolls in her ward as a part of her treatment. Till now, Nica is convinced that she had killed her entire family and not Chucky. Chucky goes on a killing spree in the mental asylum, and it was foreseeable that there is a lot of horror, violence, and blood. What could go wrong? To find out watch the film.

Analysis :

Killer doll movies have been in existence for a long time and have regained popularity from the Annabelle and Conjuring Franchise. The Chucky series has given us six helpings with its doll possessed by demonic spirits and a witty killer. The latest movie ‘Cult of Chucky’ is also available on Netflix now.

Star Performance :

It’s been nearly 30 years now since Brad Dourif is driving the force of one of the scariest films in the genre as Chucky, the doll. He counts the moments spent with his daughter Fiona Dourif in the journey of the Chucky series as one of his favorites.

What’s there?

1. Excitement for the movie among the fans for ‘Cult of Chucky’ was a lot, which proved to be worth it.

2. The film was yet another terrorizing and thrilling film and was loved by the fans just like all the other films of the franchise.

3. Chucky, the doll has attracted a massive audience towards it, and the teaser itself left the audience waiting to watch the premiere.

What’s not there?

1. It is hard to criticize such a film which has left the audiences startled.

2. The only undesirable thing noted could be to scare people and nothing else.
