Superstar Rajinikanth told that his most anticipated movie Kabali would release in the last weeks of May or July. This film is his 161st film. 

In this film, Rajinikanth is expected to play the role of a gangster and the movie is directed by Ranjith. The movie is inspired by the story of real-life Don Kabaleeshwaran.
