Udta Punjab Faces Piracy Attack!

Just now, the makers of “Udta Punjab” are a bit relieved, after winning a tough battle against the censor board. The next trouble started immediately, making them feel terribly irritated. Yes, the latest problem to Udta Punjab is the piracy attack. The film is releasing today in theaters. A couple of days back, the film was released online. However, the producers of the movie, Balaji Motion Pictures and Phantom Films immediately jumped into an action and registered a complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell. The leaked version is said to be an original print with the watermark “For Censor.” It is suspected that someone in the censor board had leaked the film. A similar thing had happened to a South Indian film, which the music director found out with the track he sent for the censor board. However, the CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani denied these rumors and said that the board received the copy of Udta Punjab at 6:30 Pm, but the film leaked online in the afternoon. He also added that the makers would have done it purposefully to gain publicity. The producers and the director of the Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhat and Diljit Dosanjh starrer were not available to comment in this regard.
