Omung Kumar Has Never Dreamed About Sarbjit!

Omung Kumar is the production designer for the hit films like “Saawariya” and “Black.” He is the proud maker of “Sarbjit.” He says that he had decided not to make biopic after his “Mary Kom.” He made the successful film about the boxing champion “Mary Kom,” a couple of years back. Priyanka Chopra played the lead role, Mary Kom in the biopic. Although it is the debut movie for him, he decided not to take risks. He says that he had a few scripts lined up after Mary Kom. But, producer Sandeep Singh brought the script. Even after hearing the script, Omung didn’t want to make it. Then, he went to an award function in Malaysia. During that time, he watched the videos of Dalbir, the sister of Sarabjit Singh. He was very much impressed by the affection of Dalbir and changed his mind to do the film, centralizing her. He also says that he had an emotional time with Dalbir Kaur during their first meet. She spoke all about Sarabjit and her protest to release him, which helped Omung make a perfect biopic. We hope we could witness a furious Dalbir Kaur from Aishwarya Rai.
