Vivek Oberoi, the popular actor, who had been in the talks of the people for his upcoming film,
PM Narendra Modi, had put himself down by his cheap tweet. He shared a meme that shows Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with three stars in different stages of her life. Among those three pictures, one of them was with Vivek Oberoi. He also captioned the tweet, “Haha, creative. No politics here, just life." When this created a huge controversy and Sonam Kapoor condemned him, he took a dig at Sonam and told her not to overreact. He even said that there is nothing wrong in sharing the meme and he enjoyed it. He also said that the meme is right and also questioned what was wrong in the meme that disgraced the actress. This increased the aversion percentage against him.
Now, the actor deleted the tweet and posted, “Even if one woman is offended by my reply to the meme, it calls for remedial action. Apologies tweet deleted.” “Sometimes what appears to be funny and harmless at first glance to one, may not be so to others. I have spent the last 10 years empowering more than 2000 underprivileged girls, I cant even think of being disrespectful to any woman ever.” However, he didn’t apologize to Sonam for his Overreacting comment.
