Lisa Ray

She wants people to know that she is far beyond “the girl who survived cancer”- she feels great when people feel the strength within them after knowing about her battle, but she wants to make a mark with her work as well. The Kasoor actress will be playing the lead in Ram Gopal Varma’s Veerappan. The actress says that in general she always studies the role well and does her home work for whichever character she is portraying on the screen- it somewhat helps her to get into the skin of the character. But this time, her director has asked her to arrive at the sets sans any preparation. She says that she was a bit confused with whatever was going around, but later out of the immense trust that she has for RGV, she kept his orders. The director wants to mould her in his way and wants her to be completely spontaneous and charming. Lisa says that after a few days of shoot she has understood the way her director works and is enjoying the work. She reveals that her role is a complicated one and the way RGV has been guiding her, she believes that he can get the best out of her.
