Nirupa Roy’s Sons Clash Against Each Other!

Nirupa Roy is regarded as one of the finest actresses of Bollywood. She is remembered for her role of Sumitra Devi, mother of Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan) and Ravi (Shashi Kapoor), in the film "Deewar" even today. At the age of 73, Bollywood's favourite mother passed away in 2004 in Mumbai. Her husband Kamal Roy died in 2015. There was a clash between their sons Kiran and Yogesh for the rights of their mother's Nepean Road sea-facing flat. The huge apartment goes to Kiran as per the will of both Nirupa and Kamal, but the elder sibling Yogesh is not ready to accept it and has challenged the will in the Bombay High Court. In fact, according to Kiran, Yogesh and his wife would frequently misbehave with their parents and had gone as far as hurting them physically. This eventually led Nirupa transferring all properties in the name of her younger son before her surmise. The matter is in court since the beginning of this year and its final verdict is yet to come.
