Like the Tamilnadu MLAs, who were staying in Koovathur Golden Bay Resort for ten days, Nagaland MLAs entered a resort and were raising their voice against the CM of the state TR Zeliang. Following the violence in the state, Zeliang decided to step down as the Chief Minister and new CM is likely to be chosen today. A meeting of Democratic Alliance of Nagaland will be held today at 11 AM. Protests started after holding ULB elections with 33 % reservation for women. It is reported that the former CM Neiphiu Rio has the support of 49 MLAs in the total of 60 MLAs in the state. Zeliang and Rio met the Home Minister Rajnath Singh, yesterday. Till the next CM is elected, Zeliang would continue as the CM.
