Mahavtar Narsimha is rewriting history with each passing day.
Nobody ever thought that an animated movie would be giving the best of the best movies in Indian cinema, and even the Hollywood releases a run for their money. But that is exactly what Ashwin Kumar and Vijay Kirgandur’s Hombale Films have managed to achieve.
The movie has become the first animated movie in the history of Indian cinema to enter the coveted 100 crore club. With a gross collection of more than 120 crores, the movie is now the highest grossing animated movie in India.
This is not all. A large chunk of this movie’s collection has come ironically from the dubbed version in Hindi, instead of the original Kannada version. Even the Telugu version has contributed significantly to the blockbuster success, which has now paved way officially for the MCU, i.e. the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, with Mahavatar Parshuram all set for a grand release in 2027, around the same time as the live action version which is being backed by Maddock Films. Vicky Kaushal would be starring in the lead role of Chiranjeevi Parshuram, the scholar warrior.
