The Malayalam director, best known for ‘ Second Show Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ and ‘Kurup’, will be directing a movie on Dhani Ram Mittal, one of the most notorious conmen in the history of independent India.

The biopic will be based on the book ‘MoneyRam’, co written by Preeti Aggarwal and Chetan Unniyal. Also known as ‘Junior Natwarlal’, Dhani Ram Mittal’s career spanned a whopping 55 years, from 1969, to his death in 2024. He not only stole cars, but sometimes even posed as a judge to bail out fellow criminals! Till date, he was hardly prosecuted for his multiple offences.

Dhani Ram Mittal is only second to Sukumara Kurup, whose story was narrated by Srinath Rajendran in the 2021 thriller ‘Kurup’. Wanted in the case of insurance fraud, the former IAF official turned fugitive is India’s longest wanted fugitive, who is out on the run since 1984.
