Karan Johar Pokes Fun At ‘Copycat Trends’

However, this time it’s neither for an upcoming project nor on his approach for nepotism. Since the last week, some of his Instagram posts are going super viral.

In one of them, Karan Johar took jibes at the current approach of Bollywood, where there is no respect for originality. He accused the makers of blindly following certain templates, just to earn quick money. According to him, making movies are not like Instagram reels where you have to follow the trend at any cost.

Karan indirectly poked fun at the recent trends adopted by Bollywood since 2022. Irrespective of ideology, most of the Bollywood movies are following a common template: action dramas, women empowerment, and remakes! It is another matter that very few of them have managed to be successful.

Interestingly, Karan’s recent ventures which include ‘ Yodha Yodha Kandrathi is a child actress working in the >> Read More... ’, ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ [which released on Amazon Prime Video] were also unsuccessful. Besides, he had recently expressed his interest in remaking films like ‘Sapta Sagaraadche Ello’ and ‘Manjummel Boys’. This is why his recent post has evoked a mixed response online.
