The Reti maker has chosen the missile man to be filmed and feels that his contributions to the nation and his journey, filled with struggles, is inspiring. Former President of India, late APJ Abdul Kalam was loved by people of all age groups and had inspired several souls.
Gore visited Kalam’s home in Rameswaram to talk to his family and get a clearer image of the man. He spoke to all the family members who were present at the time and gathered all the necessary information to ensure that the unknown is presented well through the film. He sought permission from them so as to go ahead with the movie and also bought every book that was authored by APJ Abdul Kalam.
