Expect the unexpected from Priyadarshan!
Bollywood fans should be prepared for a double treat from none other than Mohanlal.
According to the recent reports, the actor will be officially making a comeback to Hindi cinema after more than a decade. Priyadarshan has confirmed that Mohanlal will be seen in a cameo role in his upcoming crime thriller Haiwaan, which is coincidentally a remake of Mohanlal’s own classic, Oppam. The movie stars Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles, with Akshay playing the lead antagonist.
Interestingly, this is not the only Hindi movie in line for Mohanlal. The actor has also worked on another cameo role in Akshay Kumar’s much awaited horror movie Bhoot Bangla, which will also release next year.
Mohanlal is extremely famous for his roles in Malayalam, as well as Tamil cinema. He made his Hindi debut with a bang in the 2002 movie, Company, which starred Ajay Devgn, Vivek Oberoi in prominent roles. However, his aim at a longer stint in Bollywood backfired when Ram Gopal Varma ki AAG, a remake of the classic film Sholay, turned out to be a box office disaster. Mohanlal last appeared in a cameo role as a cop in Tezz, which was incidentally directed by Priyadarshan, and released in 2012.
