RGV states that the franchise of Sarkar will be the “Return of Bachchan’s Anger.” The character is designed in a way that the Big B will expose the anger against injustice, exploitation and suppression. "Even I, with my understanding of his cinematic power, created only mild characters like Vijay in Nishabd and Vijay Harshwardhan Malik in Rann. The only time I remember seeing him really angry in the last ten years is in Sarkar.
