Manhar Rangildas Raskapur was an Indian film director best known for his Gujarati films. He was born in Surat, Gujarat, India, in 1922. Before entering the film profession, he completed first year of college. Jogidas Khuman was the first movie, which he recreated twice. During the 1940s, he was the only person who constantly created Gujarati films, together with his producer, Champsibhai Nagda. Mehndi Rang Lagyo (1960), his second best-known picture, was a constant blockbuster.
