In 2009, he established Faiz Foundation Trust, a non-profit organization to promote art, culture, and literature. He was the chairman of the Punjab Film Censor Board, an Artist Welfare Committee member chaired by Pakistan's President, which provided financial aid to poor artists. He has also received certification as a classical pianist and teaches young children. He has designed and conducted trainings for UNICEF, UNDP, UNESCO, Action Aid, The British Council, European Union, and Commonwealth Broadcasting Association.
