Akalanka Ganegama was a Sri Lankan international cricketer. He also works as an actor, TV presenter, dancer, entrepreneur, and singer. He was born on 29 March 1981 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He played as a right-handed batsman and fast-medium bowler for One Day International, Twenty 20, and List A Cricket. He also played domestic cricket for Nondescripts and Chilaw Marians. As a dancer, he won the Sirosa Dancer Season 2 competition in 2008.As a singer he sang a song Harima Hadai with Hip Hop artist Iraj and Clews.In 2012, he played a small role in the film
