Parakrama Jayasinghe is a Sinhalese film director. He rose into prominence with is movies Que sera (2014), Cheerio Holman (2002) and Ekada Wahi (1994). He studied at St. Thomas College, Mt Lavinia and was later selected into the university of Jayewardenepura in 1972. His father was a successful businessman who used to import auto parts. After his father’s death, he overtook his buisness. While at school, he was a cadet and used to play rugby as well. He was also involved in the Sinhala Literary Society. He used to be interested in movies at an early age. He entered the Sinhalese film industry with his debut film Ekada Wahi, which he directed without having any prior experience in doing it.

It was one of the classiest films ever released in the Sinhalese film Industry. He has also played a role in a TV series called Koombiyo, which was telecasted on ITN. His movie, Que Sera features Nita Fernando Bio coming soon... >> Read More... , Yoshini Abeysekara, Hans Billimoria, Michelle Herft, and Oshini Perera in the lead roles. His target audience is those who are neglected by the Sinhalese Film Industry. He wrote the lyrics of the songs in Que Sera, in which the veteran musician Somapala Ratnayake composed the Score. Parakrama Jayasinghe passed away on 20th August 2020.
