Nalaka Vithanage is an eminent theatre, television, and cinema director in Sri Lanka. He was born on 16th February. He passed out from Nalanda College Colombo, and he has been absorbed in stage and teledrama creations and filmmaking since his school. He did his higher education in commerce and business studies. He was a prominent dramatist in Sri Lanka. He joined stage plays produced by his father during his higher education. These plays included Veniceye Velenda, Senehebara Dolly, and Romaya Gini Gani. His maiden stage drama production was Rathri Bojanaya.

He directed the action film Ethalaya and was also the screenwriter of the same.
