Samarawickrama Dahanayake Sujani Menaka, popularly known as Sujani Menaka, is a Sri Lankan actress and model who predominantly plays roles in Sinhala-language movies, plays, and television dramas. She was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on May 17, 1980. She had graduated from St. Paul’s Girls School in Milagiriya with a secondary education. Since her father was an art director in films, she has been active in the acting and modeling industries since her younger days. She began her career as a child artist, appearing in advertisements when she was of three. She married to prominent actor Bimal Jayakody in 2007 and the couple has two daughters and one son. She was familiar with him since 2000 as they had worked together in the teledrama 'Ramya Suramya'. Since her childhood, actress Sujana has been performing in films and television shows. She is best known for playing Sara, the teledrama’s title character, in both original production and its film adaptation when she was ten years old in the NSB advertisement Sathen Sathe. As a child artist, her participation in NSB significantly increased her popularity. She has appeared in numerous television programs, some of which include Weera Puthra, Theja, Aluth Gedara, Damini, Hiru Kumari, Loba Nosidewa, Mayami, Pingala Danawwa, Parthana, and others.

Sujana debuted in the 1987 Malani Fonseka film ‘Ahinsa’ as a child artist. Her well-known motion pictures include Raja Sellam (1991), Raja Daruwo (1992), Thrishule (1993), 150 Mulleriyawa (1994), Sara (2010), Gamini (2011), Julitge Bhumikawa (1998), and Uthuru Sulanga (2021). Numerous television and regional stage drama festivals have given her awards for her well liked and compelling performances. Sujana has actively pursued her acting and modeling profession since her childhood days. The actress has played a significant role in the Sinhala film industry and television shows world.
