Kurukulasuriya Maureen O’Hara Perera, popularly known as Maureen Charuni, is a Sri Lankan cinema, television, and theatre actress. She was born on the 19th of September 1963. She is mainly known as an actress who plays young motherly roles in dramas and films. Maureen’s first film was Karadiya Walalla which was directed by Cyril Wickramage.

But, the film Ranmalige Wasanawa was released earlier and became her debut film. Some of her films include Ranmalige Wasanawa, Du Daruwo, Sinha Pataw, Jaya Kothanada, Asai Bayai, Veera Udara, Juriya Mamai, Irasma, Gini Kirilli, Sara, Parapura, etc. Her most popular stage drama is Dangamalla.
