Shamsher Singh Sandhu is a renowned and talented songwriter/lyricist, working predominantly in the Punjabi industry. Sandhu was born on March 5, 1951. He works as a chief sub-editor at the Punjabi Tribune, Chandigarh. Being a lyrical genius, Sandhu was able to deliver several hit energetic songs that resonate with people all around the world. Some of his most famous songs are Dupatta Tera Sat Rand da, Tera Yaar Bolda, Jatt Di Pasand and many more. Other than this, Sandhu also contributed a lot of good songs to the Punjabi film industry, like Dupatta (2000), Sheesh Yaar Da (1999), Mukhda Dekh Ke (1999), Billiyan Akhiyan (2001), and, many more. Apart from being a lyricist, Sandhu is also a writer. He writes a weekly column on Punjabi singers for the newspaper “Akali Patrika”.
