Saieen Zahoor Ahmer, or Ali Saain Shafiu, is a Punjabi Sufi musician. He hails from Pakistan. He is a big name in the Sufi music industry worldwide. He was born in 1936 in Okara district of Pakistan. The singer is married and has a son, Riasat Ali. Saieen or Sain is not his first name. It is a Sindhi honorific title given to the singer. Zahoor started singing at the early age of five. He had devoted himself to Sufi songs. He used to sing at Sufi shrines and dargahs at various places. He studied music under Raunka Ali of Patiala Gharana for a long time. He followed major Sufi poets like Bulleh Shah, Shah Badakhshi, Muhammad Qadiri, Sultan Bahu, and many more. He is chiefly famous for his breathtaking performances at the Coke Studio (Pakistan).

He roamed all around and sang on the streets and Sufi shrines. In 1989, for the first time, he performed at a concert at the All Pakistan Music Conference. He did not come up with any record or an album till 2006. In 2006, the BBC World Music Awards nominated him. He won the Best BBC Voice of the Year in 2006. He released his album Awazay in 2006 through Matteela Records. In 2007, he worked for the Pakistani film Khuda Ke Liye. He helped in producing the soundtrack for the film. He performed at the folk music festival, which was arranged by the Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop in Lahore in 2009. In 2011, he sang for a British Comedy Drama film, West is West. The film came as a sequel to the 1999 comedy film, East is East. He has performed overseas, too. Saieen has always been a crowd-puller.

He has performed in Australia, Canada, Ireland, the UK, Japan, Norway, Dubai, and China. The singer has adopted Tumbi as his primary instrument. Tumbi is a three-stringed version of Ektara, a single-stringed instrument. He has always sung Sufi songs. His famous songs are Toomba (Coke Studio Season 2), Allah Hoo, Nachna Painda Hai, Tere Ishq Nachaya, Ek Alif, Rabba Ho (Coke Studio Season 6), Lagi Bina (Coke Studio Season 9), Maaye Ni Main Kinu Akhan, Dill Da Kabah, Mirzya Title song (2016), and many more. He has been awarded the Pride of Performance award by the President of Pakistan in 2020.
