Kanwarpal Singh Grewal is an Indian Punjabi singer and lyricist. He works in Punjabi Music Industry. His genre of music is Indian Film Pop. He was born on 1 January 1984 in a Sikh family in Mehma Sawai, Bhatinda, Punjab, India. His father is Beant Singh Grewal. His mother is Manjeet Kaur Grewal. In 2016, he married Bibi Karamjit Kaur. He studied at Government Public School. He passed out from SBC College, Kotkpura, and did his post-graduation at Punjab University, Patiala, Punjab, India. His hobbies are singing and writing. Kanwarpal developed an interest in music when he was a child. In his childhood, he used to sing songs in the bathroom. One day his father caught him and later encouraged him to learn to sing. When he was six years old, he started singing and gave his first stage performance during his school days.
He learned music from the Late Ustad Vijay Kumar Sachdeva for four months. He made his debut in the year 2013 with the album Akhan. After his first album hit, he released his second album, Jogi Nath. He debuted in the film industry through the song Faqeera from the film Ardaas in 2016. Kanwarpal's famous songs are Mast, Garhva, Ishq, Yaar Labheya, Fakira, Zameer, Challa, Tumba Vajda, Jawani Zindabaad, Itihaas, Khalsa, Pecha, and many more. His hit albums are Akhan, Jogi Nath, Raanjheya Ve, Tumba Nee Vajda Taar Bina, Raam Allah, and many more. His well-known singles like Ticktan Do Lay Layi and Mastana Jogi also received excellent responses. In 2018, the Province of British Columbia honored him with the Certification of Appreciation for his contribution to the Punjabi language. He also won Best Sufi Performance at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards in 2017.
