Amrita Virk was born on the 11th of June in 1975, she started showcasing her vocal talent in school functions and worked her way into the industry. A year after she began professional singing, she released her first album, Kalli Beh Ke Ro Laini Aan, in 1998. This was the time when the industry was heavily dominated by male singers. The first album shot her to fame, thereafter, year after year, Virk kept launching albums, and as of today, she has 56 albums. Some of which are Hae Tauba (Feb. 2000), Paani Dian Chhallan (Feb. 2004), Tauhr Amrita Di (Dec. 2007) and Terian Nishania (Feb. 2009).
