Afsana Khan

Afsana Khan is a Punjabi playback singer, actress, and music composer. She was born on 12th June 1994. In 2012, she began her career as a contestant on the singing reality show “Voice of Punjab Season 3.” Her songs "Titliaan," written by Jaani, and "Dhakka," co-authored by Sidhu Moosewala, are well-known. She competed in the reality competition show “Bigg Boss 15” in 2021.

Afsana was born into a Muslim household in Sri Muktsar Sahib's hamlet Badal, the daughter of Sheera Khan and Asha Begum. She has a younger brother and is the oldest of four sisters. Both Afsana's grandfather and father were singers. Khan's father died while she was a small child.

When Afsana Khan first debuted on “Bigg Boss 15,” she mentioned that she would be getting married shortly. The musician and songwriter got engaged to longtime lover Saajz. She even posted images of their engagement on social media. Saajz is a Chandigarh-based Punjabi singer. He lent his voice to Himanshi Khurana's song “Allah Khair Kare.”

Khan has no formal musical training. She began singing in her neighborhood to support her family. In 2012, she competed in Season 3 of the singing reality show “Voice of Punjab.” She placed fifth in the competition. She competed in Season 1 of the singing reality show “Rising Star,” where she landed in the Top 7. Afsana admitted in an interview that she didn't know a single Bollywood song in Rising Star’s auditions. She performed the song "Jag Suna Suna Lage" on the ‘Rising Star’ auditions. Eventually, the show chose her. She has performed live at several Punjabi events. She then began singing for a variety of Punjabi music labels.

Afsana Khan is an Indian vocalist. Her work in the Punjabi music industry is primarily known. She is best known for her Punjabi song "Jatta Sareaam Ve Tu Dhakka Kardae," which she co-wrote with Sidhu Moose Wala.
