Sushil Pokharel is a prominent actor, director, and screenwriter from the Nepal films and television industry. He was born on 28th February 1966 in Lalitpur. Sushil completed his schooling from the Durbar High School. He pursued a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts from Trichandra College. Sushil commenced his creative journey as an actor and director in 1986. His first project was Raanko (The Flame). Despite the struggle, he trained in stage and proscenium theatre. He learned from renowned actors and directors like Harihar Sharma, Sakuntala Sharma, Sunil Pokharel and other celebrities at The Nepal Theatre. He has been in the film industry for thirty-four years in films like Seemana in 1996, Shankar in 1997, A Mero Hajur in 2002, Janayuddha in 2008, Silsila in 2009, Hasi Deu Ek Phera in 2010, Rolpa Rog in 2016, Dhulo in 2020, and Ganapati in 2023.
