Salon Basnet, known as “Junge”, is a Nepalese actor. He was born on March 23, 1991, in Thankot, Kathmandu. His father's name is Shovit Basnet, and he is a film director. His mother is Mina Basnet, and he has a younger brother, Babrim, and a sister Saleena. Growing up in a filmmaking environment, he had an acute interest in acting and dancing from the beginning. He did his schooling at Bright Future Secondary School, where he participated in many dance events and cultural programs. He completed his high school education at Capital College and Research Centre and got his bachelor's degree in business studies from National Account College.

He starred as a child artist in the film, 'Nepali Babu' when he was eight years old. Other films in which he performed as a child were, Aafanta, Dhukdhuki, Pinjada, and Hami Tin Bhai. His first film as an adult was Hostel. He has performed in other films: Afno Pan, Aafanta, Dhukdhuki, Hami Teen Bhai, Junge, Aadha Page, Tanke, and many more.
