Pramod Kharel is a Nepalese singer born on 6th November 1979 in Jhapa, Nepal. Balabhadra Kharel and Bishnu Sharma Kharel are his parents. He completed his School Leaving Certification from the Himali Secondary School of Jhapa and did his Master’s degree in chemistry from Tribhuvan University in 2003. He worked as a professor at Xavier International H.S.S College, Pyramid College, and White Gold College. He is married to Deepa Kharel Niraula. His music career began in 1999. He has recorded almost 2000 songs of different genres. He is also working as a coach in The Voice of Nepal seasons 1, 2, 3, and 4. Some of his discographies include Prapti, Pranaya, and Prabeg.
He has conducted live concerts in every corner of India and worldwide. Some of the awards received by him are Chhinalata Singer of the Year 2010, Annapurna ghazal singer of the Year 2010, Annapurna Singer of the Year 2011, Kalika best singer 2012, Kalika best song of the Year 2009, Album of the Year (Pranaya) 2010, Kalika best ghazal (Khai Jaal Ma) 2010, Radio Nepal Top Ten Singer Award in 2003. He has also won Hits FM Music award for the best male vocal performance, Sagarmatha Music Award: Best modern singer, and Bindabashini music award: for best male pop singer.
