Om Sunar is one of the most famous Nepali singers. He was born in Nepal. Om is also a music composer who is an expert in Western and classical music. He has also produced many music albums and movies in the Nepali entertainment industry. He has gained an enormous amount of popularity in a very short period. Om’s first song was named ‘Maga Timi K Magchhau,’ from his first album ‘Sugandha.’
He has also worked in both Hindi and Nepali songs. Some of his songs include Lobhi Papi, Lahure Sipahi Dai, Columbus Ki Kanchhi, Yo Man, Aamaile Bhanthe, Supari Kancho, and Buddha Born In Nepal. He has also served as the President of the Music Research And Development Forum and also a member of many societies, such as the Global Actors Federation, the Music Association Of Nepal, the Music Composer Association Nepal, the Performers Society Of Nepal, and the Music Royalty Collection Society.
Sunar has been honoured with some prestigious awards, including Pim Nepal Film Festival 2020, Sagarmatha Music Award 2022, Natyaswara Music Award 2023, Himalayan International Award 2023, National Bilakshan Talent Honor 2023, Pim Nepal Art Honor 2022, Artist And Creator Award Nepal 2023 and National Film Culture Ratna Honor 2023. He has served as a jury member in Jyoti Films Music Award 2023, Nim Awards 2023, and International Folk Music Film Festival 2022.
