Bhawani Rana is a famous businesswoman and entrepreneur in Nepal. She is widely known as the only woman president of the prestigious Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI). She was born in 1970 to a non-business family and was one of the youngest daughters of her parents. Bhawani Rana completed her high school education at St. Mary School and got her undergraduate degree in political science from Lucknow University, India. She was interested in entrepreneurship and ventured into the garment business.
Later, she bought Hotel Sneha in Nepalgunj and developed it into a four-star hotel with her husband. Bhawani Rana manages the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Association Nepal (FWEAN) affairs and promotes capital merchant banking to promote women's entrepreneurship. She is also the vice president of the SAATHI group and is one of the members of the SAARC Chamber Women Entrepreneur Council (SCWEC). Bhawani Rana is one of the inspirational icons for Nepali women for promoting women's entrepreneurship and eco-tourism.
