Man Bahadur Thapa is an extraordinary editor and instructor of media, camera, and mass communication. Thapa has also worked in the audio-visual editing department. His exceptional career has lasted more than three decades. His creativity and innovation have been nothing less than a source of pure talent and art for the Nepali film industry. He has worked for many television programs, movies, documentaries, short films, etc. He has won numerous prestigious awards like the UN-Service of Peace Medal, Disaster Relief Award, Military Long Service Good Conduct Medal, King Birendra-Queen Aishwarya Service Medal, Shikhar Honor Award, etc.
In 2004, Man Bahadur Thapa edited Sikkim on A Path to Progress. In 2005, he edited the short, The Doom. In 2006, he edited the music video Majhi Dai. The same year, he worked on the films Krodh and Devasari. In 2008, he worked as the promo editor for the film Desh Dekhi Bideshi. In 2009, he worked on Journey Beyond The Himalayas. In 2010, he edited The Ram Prasad Batas, The Enemy Of Ghost, Baula Dukh Ko Raso, and Kasle Choryo Mero Man. In 2011, he worked in Chhuti Maya Jaal and Secrets of Dhaulagiri. In 2014, Man Bahadur Thapa edited the film Hijacking For Democracy. In 2015, he worked in the short Women In The Bufferzone.
In 2016, he edited three films, including Sherpa Dai. In 2017, he worked on the music video Bijay Garau. In 2018, Bahadur edited a TV show, Nepal Mediciti Hospital and a movie, Tathasthu. In 2019, he edited a few shorts, including Janakpur Dham 2. In 2020, Bahadur worked for Thirsty Hills of The Himalayas. He also edited the music video Samjhana Bho. In the same year, he worked in Life in Buffer Zone Nepal. Chudi Gaun ko Ujyalo Yatra, Anyol, and Rajdrohi Rajneta are his films in 2022. Chiuri Basaima, the music video, is one of his editing works in 2024.
