Shiv Shrestha was a renowned Nepali actor & producer who is best known for his action. He was born on 20 June 1953 in Kathmandu, Nepal. Shiv was also known as Action King in Nepali Cinema. Shiv started his career as an actor, in 1982 by debuting in a Nepali film called

. In one interview he said that he wanted to become a pilot and later on, he decided to become a police inspector since childhood. Shiv started working on his acting skills through Nepali plays and worked in Ramesh Budhathoki’s theatre play Dui Las Ek Chauhan. We can see his hard work in some of the Nepali Films like Badalindo Akash (1984), Kanchi (1984), Biswas (1986), Chino (1989), Manokamana (1991), Dharam Sankat (1998), and many more.
Shiv also acted in dozens of Urdu films, some of which were a big hit. After 1999 he made his comeback in the Nepali Film Industry in 2016 with the film Bagmati which was a big hit. Shiv has appeared in more than 150 films of different languages till now which was a big hit score for him. The year 2012 turned out to be a fantastic year for him as he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Box Office Film Awards. And then again in 2016, he was awarded the Achievement Awards at Global Nepali Film Awards & Contribution Awards at the Nepal Motion Picture Awards.
