Saba Hameed

Previously known as Saba Pervaiz, Saba Hameed is the daughter of famous columnist Hameed Akhtar. She was born in Lahore on 21st of June 1957. For her siblings, Saba has one brother and three sisters. She did her studies in ‘Lahore College for Women University’. The colossal actress started her journey in the world of showbiz in 1980. She proved her talent in almost all the categories of acting, whether it was drama serials, sitcoms, long plays, TV shows or talk shows. Saba also tried her luck in theatre in 1980’s and 1990’s and earned a good name there as well.

Her famous drama serial includes “Qaid-e-Tanhai,” “Dolly Ki Ayegi Gi Baraat,” “Dil-e-Muztar,” and much more. Saba Hameed has worked in some movies as well because her aim is to work in all domains of the entertainment industry. She appeared in “Mein Ek Din Lautkay Aaoon Ga,” “AbhiTo Main Jawaan Hoon,” “Good Morning Karachi,” and “Jawani Phir Nahi Ani”. Saba proved herself by working in the movies that she is equally capable of showing her talent for, on the big screen.

Because of her unbeatable and magical acting skills, Saba has been nominated many times for prestigious acting awards like ‘Lux Style Awards,’‘Nigar Awards,’‘Hum Awards,’ and ‘PTV Awards’. Not only this, Saba Hameed has also been awarded the most prestigious award in Pakistan, that is the‘Pride of Performance Award’ in 2013, because of her huge services for both small and big screen. Saba has a daughter and a son, Meesha Shafi and Faris Shafi. Both of them are in the same field and are proving their skills in acting and are earning more pride and honor for their legendary mother.
