Javed Bashir is a Pakistani singer and the master of Indian classical music. He gave his beautiful voice to many songs of Bollywood. He was born on 8 August 1973 in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan in the Islam religion. He belongs to a musical background. His father is Ustad Bashir Ahmad Khan who is a former Pakistani Qawal. His grandparents were from Jalandhar, India but they migrated to Lahore during the segmentation in 1947, so basically, his root is from India he considers India as his second home.

He took his training from a great classical singer whose name is Ustad“Mubarak Ali Khan.” He started singing since childhood, but he began to take professional training of qawwali since the year 1992. He made his debut in solo singing in the year 2001 with the song “DeewaneNachde” of Bally Sagoo’s album named “Anything But Silent.”

His song “ChalBulleya” from the album called Saptak made with the Makal Hasan Band which gave a big break to his career. He got lots of appreciation for his work in this song. He released an album named “Subrang” in 2011. “VangaIshqDiyan” is another one of his albums. His voice was also heard on the 2nd and 7th season of Coke Studio. His debut as a playback singer in Bollywood was made with the song named “Piya Tu KaaheRootha Re” from the film Kahaani with the music composer Vishal – Shekhar. With his songs, he very soon became a famous Indian playback singer. His songs were loved by everyone, and he became a sensation overnight. In Bollywood, he got his first nomination in the “Upcoming Male Vocalist” category in Mirchi Music Awards of the year 2012 for his song titled “Tera Naam Japdi Phiran” of the film Cocktail.

He won the Lux Style Awards in the category of Best Singer of the year for his song “ChalBulleya” for the film Saptak. He also won the Mirchi Music Awards in the category of “Song Representing Sufi Tradition” for the song “Mera Yaar” from the film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
