Shanaya Makani is an Indian producer of Bhojpuri films. With her father, Iqbal Makani, Shanaya owns Dreamcatcher Productions, which produced Suno Sasurji (2018). The film was her father’s debut production and was a hit among audiences, co-produced by Shanaya Makani. Brought up in Mumbai, she attended the Utpal Shanghavi Global School and completed a course in fashion management at FAD University, Mumbai. Apart from producing, she also works on sets as a director and personally designs costumes for all the actors in the film.

She has also taken classes in dancing and acting, expressing an interest in making on-screen appearances rather than only working behind the scenes. At present, Shanaya aims to make her production studio, Dreamcatcher Production, a creator and distributor of both Bollywood and regional hits. She indicated in an interview that she is searching for Bollywood scripts and has received submissions from screenwriters. She expressed an interest in not only casting a leading Bollywood actor but also acting in the produced film herself. Shanaya also posts dance performances on YouTube and has frequently collaborated with other dancers in videos.
