Ashok Kumar Deep

Ashok Kumar Deep is an Indian composer, lyricist, and musician who predominantly works in the Bhojpuri music industry. He was born and raised in the town of Muhammadabad Yusufpur in the Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh. Ashok Kumar Deep was born into a privileged family. He possesses a diverse range of interests and experiences that shaped his career. Ashok Kumar Deep is an ardent admirer of Urdu poetry. This made him travel from Uttar Pradesh to Calcutta quite frequently. This fascination with Urdu poetry and literature became a central part of his life, connecting him with the vibrant world of Mushaira, Kavi Sammelan, and Qawwali. Ashok Kumar Deep is a big fan of Hamad, Naat, Mankabat, Nauha, Nazm and Ghazal.

While he grew up speaking only Bhojpuri, Ashok Kumar Deep learned Hindi through reading as he loved literature. Before he started making music, Ashok Kumar Deep worked as a farmer. However, a significant turning point came when he joined T-Series, where he contributed to the organization for fifteen years. During his time with T-Series, Ashok Kumar Deep has written lyrics and composed songs for film in many films such as ‘ Insaaf Doordarshan National Network telecasted its show I >> Read More... ’ (2011), 'Jaan Tere Naam' (2012), ‘Saugandh’ (2018),  'Leker Hichkiyan Ro Pada' (2019), and 'Aaye Hum Barati Barat Leke' (2022). Some of his most famous songs are ‘Aekar Deewana,’ ‘Humke Banavalu Tu Aapan Deewana,’ ‘Tu Laila Hau Hamar,’ ‘Dil Pyar Khatir Tarse,’ ‘Kasal Jawani Ba Choliya Mein,’ ‘Tajmahal Banwada Raja Baliya Me,’ ‘Mahal Wali Se Mohabbat,’ ‘Aekar Deewana-Chhaudi Ke Salwar,’ and ‘Aise Toda Jin Badaniya.’
