Filmmaker, author, blogger, and activist Pawan K. Shrivastava was born on 11 May; 1982 in the Indian hamlet of Mathura. After graduating from high school, he continued schooling in Allahabad before moving to Delhi to work and pursue his interest in computer science. He raised money for Naya Pata through social networking sites, his network of friends, and other contacts. Now that he has tried crowdfunding, he is among the few Indian filmmakers who have done so and has established a new trend in the country's film industry.

His blogs, E-Bihar and "Patna Ki Sadko Se," contain his writing. He has written and directed more than 200 street plays in addition to two documentaries, two shorts, and one feature picture. He made history by making Naya Pata with merely 8 Lacs of crowdfunding. He has done an excellent job of capturing the suffering of immigrants and their quest for identity. He resides in Delhi and participates in a variety of social events there. He was one of the 13 young innovators from Bihar chosen by the Telegraph in 2012 to chart their paths to success. Naya Pata, Pawan's debut movie, was released on June 27; through PVR Director's rare. For the first time in India, PVR Director's cut exclusively distributed a movie from Bihar.

The Andaman Film Society previously invited Pawan to attend training in Portblair on film production and crowdfunding. "Haashiye Ke Log" - Following the success of Naya Pata, Pawan announced the release of his second movie, "Haashiye Ke Log," which dealt with the marginalized section and the plight of Dalits in modern Indian society. He has already assembled a capable team and is working on the scripting portion. By the end of December 2014, he finished the pre-production. For "Haashiye Ke Log," he promptly began a crowdfunding campaign. I Am Draupadi (2021), Kumbh - The Other Story (2021), and Life of an Outcast are among Pawan k Shrivastava's best-known works.
