Manoj Bhawuk

Manoj Bhawuk is a writer and actor of Indian origin. He was born on January 2, 1976, in Kausar in Bihar. He works in the Bhojpuri television and film industry. Manoj graduated with an engineering degree from the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology, where he worked as an engineer before transitioning to journalism. He serves as the chief editor of the e-magazines Bhojpuria and Bhojpuri Junction and is the director of Achievers Junction, which celebrates the achievements of notable figures around the world. Bhawuk also worked with Anjan TV and Mahua Plus starting in 2017. He received the Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad Award (2006) to felicitate his contribution via his collection of ghazals, Tasveer zindagi ke. In 2013, Manoj received the Parikalpana Lok Bhushan Samman in Kathmandu, Nepal, making it the very first time this honor was given for Bhojpuri literature.

He was honored with the International Bhojpuri Gaurav Samman in Mauritius in 2014 by Sir Anerood Jugnauth, the Prime Minister of Mauritius. In 2018, he was honored with the Geetanjali Sahitya Award in Birmingham, UK for his contributions to Bhojpuri Literature, and also received the Lokbhasha Samman from the Kailash Gautam Srijan Sansthan for his extensive contributions to the field. Most recently, Bhawuk was honored with the Kailash Gautam Kavya-Kunth Lokbhasha Samman on December 27, 2022, by the Kailash Gautam Srijan Sansthan.
