Sasanka Samir is an Indian actor, songwriter, and poet born on September 3, 1982, in Bormuria Goan, Assam. He is fondly called Tinku and works in the Assamese film industry. He did his schooling at Saint Mary’s School, Lakhimpur, and Government High Secondary School, Lakhimpur. He graduated from the North Lakhimpur College, Assam. In 2013, he made his film debut with an Assame film called Akash Chuboloi Mon, directed by Manash Hazarika. He got nominated for the best supporting role in this film. His college North Lakhimpur College awarded him the Best Actor and Best Director.
He is recognized for his supporting roles in Gaane Ki Aana, Ratnakar, Kanchanjangha, and Semkhor. He starred in a short film, The Radio Guy, released on Youtube. It has scored over one lakh views. Currently, he is starring in a television series called Mayurpankhi.
