The story starts with Rubab and Asher. Rubab has been in love with Asher for a long time and wants to marry him. But Asher has no feelings towards her. If anyone suggests the idea of his and Rubab’s marriage, he shuts them down angrily. However, Rubab has high hopes for Asher and dreams of marrying him. Rubab's mother, Zehra does not want her to get married to Asher. Zehra is very possessive about Rubab. She had kept Rubab away from her father after she separated from him.

Zehra's possessive nature drives her to extreme measures as she orchestrates a series of deceptive tactics to keep Rubab and Asher apart. Zehra does not want Rubab to marry Asher and plans to throw Asher out of Rubab’s heart. She conspires against her own daughter to execute her evil plan. Zehra writes fake letters from Asher. She writes in the letters how Asher has married his colleague from his office as he loved her. This breaks Rubab’s heart. It drives Rubab into a state of depression and despair. She was so sad that she even tried to commit suicide.

This event grabs Asher’s attention. Although he did not love her, he was concerned about her. Asher starts caring for Rubab’s well-being more than before. Zehra notices this and despises their closeness. She starts scheming against them. Zehra pays a young woman to blame Asher for sexually harassing her. This was the last thing that Rubab expected from Asher. Her feelings towards Asher had changed due to this false allegation.

Amidst this, Zehra tries to convince Rubab to marry someone of her choice. Zehra manipulates Rubab to accept her choice. Rubab marries that person without knowing his true intentions. He was a conman who had robbed Rubab’s money and fled. Rubab was also pregnant at that time. It was a shock to Rubab as she wondered why her mother made her marry him without background verification. Zehra again tries to manipulate her but fails this time. Rubab finally gets to know the truth about Zehra’s schemes. With Rubab’s help, Asher discovers that the complaint against him was also a scheme of Zehra. They condemn Zehra for conspiring again against them. Rubab and Zehra reunite at last.
