Umera Ahmad was born on 10 December 1976 in Sialkot. She pursued her Master`s in English Literature from Murray College, Sialkot. Her career started as an English lecturer at Army Public College, Sialkot. Nonetheless, she quitted her job to dedicate her full heed to her writing career in the Urdu language. She started her career in writing in 1998 when she was 22 years old for monthly Urdu digest. Her first published story for the monthly Urdu digest was ZINDAGI GULZAR HAI which became popular among the people. Afterward, she was been requisitioned to write full-length stories.Her work Zindagi Gulzarhai was then turned into a serial that was aired on Hum TV in 2012.According to one interview of hers she stated that the female lead of her novel `Zindagi GulazarHai `based on her character.

Samiya Mumtaz is a Pakistani actress; she works in both TV Industry as well as Film Industry. She was born in Karachi, Pakistan. Her father, Kamil Khan Mumtaz, is an architect. She is married and blessed with two children. The veteran actresses Uzra Butt and Zohra Sehgal are her relatives.

She is the granddaughter of Nawab of Manavdar and has Pashtun ancestory from her grandmother’s side. She is married to a Cosmetology surgeon and actor Fahad Mirza. They married in August 2014.She is a mother of two kids. The elder son’s name is Rohan Mirza and the younger son’s name is Araiz Muhammad Mirza.

It is quite remarkable to notice that many of the actresses in the sub-continent today, whether from India or Pakistan, come from quite contrary backgrounds, most of them having either qualified for professional courses, or even having started a career in the very same field. How far this helps in their subsequent acting careers is yet to be assessed, but it can be safely presumed that it must be adding a few notches to their maturity levels, and this must be directly or indirectly showing in their acting.

Though not that young, one such name from Pakistan that immediately comes to mind is that of Samina Peerzada, who instead of pursuing a career in commerce, in which she had graduated, chose to opt for an acting career, and besides making a name for herself in several notable Pakistani dramas, went to become a producer and director too, having got married to fellow entertainment world personality, Usmaan Peerzada.

While technically her acting career started in 1980 with a child role in a British production “The Blood of Hussein”, her regular acting stint commenced, as it normally does in Pakistan, through her roles in Television dramas, 3 years later. This allowed her to gain name and fame as an accomplished actress. She liked this genre and was also liked by her fans in TV dramas, with over 40 appearances against her name, spanning across 31 years and all major TV channels. Her most notable dramas were “Ishq ke Inteha”;  “Meri Zaat” and “Zindagi Gulzaar Hai”.

Her appearances in mainstream films as well as the lighter genre of TV serials has not been as voluminous as that in TV dramas, exposing perhaps her liking for the medium of drama. Rather, she was keener to try out her hand in film direction, starting off with “Intehaan” in 1999, on a theme dealing with the controversial social issue of marital rape. Even in Pakistan’s conservative environment, the film was critically acclaimed. She graduated from the Karachi Government College of Commerce and Economics. She is married to Usman Peerzada, a well-known actor in the industry, and has two daughters, Anum and Amal Peerzada. She changed her name from Samina Butt to Samina Peerzada after marrying the actor. Samina made her film debut in 1980, playing Lisa in the film The Blood of Hussain. She has worked in many films over the years like Shaadi Mere Shohar ki ( 1986), Mukhra (1988), Bazar-e-Husn (1988), Bulandi (1990), Nazdeekiyan (1991), Pabandi (1992), Khwahish (1993), Zar Gul (1997), and The Valley (2017). She has also performed in theatrical productions, most notable of which are Raaz-o-Niaz and A Doll House.

Ismat Zaidi is a famous Pakistani actress. She was born in Lahore, Pakistan.She belongs to Islam religion. Ismat Zaidi started her acting career in 1990’s.She worked on various Tv shows, advertisements, and movies. She has acted in several Pakistani dramas like Man O Salwa and Parsa. Mehreen Raheel is a Pakistan model cum actor. She is the daughter of Simmi Raheel and sister of Danyal Raheel. Mehreen is also the managing director of her home company R Visions. She was born on 8 February 1981 in Lahore Pakistan.

In 2011, she played a role in the daily drama show ‘Ashk’. The main characters of the serial was played by Fawad Ali Khan and Resham. The name of their characters were Rohail Hayad and Mehru. Mehreen played the role of Rohail sister. The show was produced by Abdullah Kahdwani and directed by Sarmad Sultan Khusat.

Mehreen is also a social activist. She traveled to many countries for her NGO. Her NGO works for the education of poor children. She visited India in 2011 to raise the funds for the empowerment of the children through education and hygiene.

Fatima Effendi is a well-known actress and model from Pakistan. She was born on December 17, 1992 in Karachi, Pakistan. She is the daughter of actress, Fouzia Mustaq with two brothers and one sister. She got married to actor and model, Kanwar Arsalan on November 17, 2012 in Karachi. She gave birth to a baby boy, Almir Kanwar on September 4, 2013.

Then she did the many serials on Hum TV like Tum Se Kaise Kahoon by Haissam Hussain in 2009, Raju Chacha Ban Gaey Gentleman, Achay Ki Larki, Pappu Ki Paroson in 2011, Yeh kon Sa Dayar Hai and Shaadi Ka Ladoo – Mera Teacher Mera Shauhar. She also got her fame in the drama serial, Shehr-e-Dil Ke Darwazay and also in Baji. She immediately became one of the most renowned Pakistani actresses. She also did the serial, Aurat Ka Ghar Konsa and Kuch Kami Si Hai.

Farrukh Abid is a renowned music composer. He is indeed a musical genius. He has made a significant contribution to Pakistani media. His original soundtracks for Pakistani dramas are, till now, the soul of these dramas. He started his journey as a musician in 1970. He started working with famous musicians and used to play guitar in their compositions. After a struggle of around 16 years, he began as a music composer in 1986 in Karachi. After gaining such exposure, he made approximately 30,000 to 40,000 jingles for various advertising agencies. In 1990, he made his small music studio in Karachi.

Sabir Zafar was born on 12th September as Muzaffar Ahmed at Kahuta in the Rawalpindi district in Pakistan. His father was a school teacher who got transfers frequently, and hence Sabir had to study in various schools before pursuing his higher education from Rabwah College. He was a political activist before becoming a poet in 1968. His ghazals had created magic, and Sabir worked with almost all well-known singers, including Ghulam Ali and Munni Begum. He is a critically acclaimed writer. Sabir composed 22 collections of ghazals. He believes that Sufism can soften a person and make them lovable and tolerant. 

Khayyam Sarhadi is a well-known Urdu film and television actor who worked on over 200 stage plays and about 300 television shows. Khayyam Sarhadi was born to Zia Sarhadi, Pakistani screenwriter and director, and Zahira Ghazvani, also a writer, on the 12th June 1948 in Bombay, India. He moved to Pakistan in 1956. He is the grandson of the British Indian musician Rafiq Ghaznavi and his niece Zhalay Sarhadi is also an actress. Hailing from a film family, Khayyam Sarhadi wanted to make acting his profession even though his father wanted him to become a doctor. After much persuasion, he got approval from his family to make a living out of acting.

Rashid Farooqui is a very talented actor hailing from Karachi, Pakistan. He was born on 5th May 1975. Rashid did his schooling from Government High School, Karachi. He had a keen interest in theater drama right from his childhood days. Therefore, he joined the National Academy of Performing Arts to pursue a career and to choose what he loves to do. He then started his occupation as an actor for theater dramas and television series. He officially kicked off with a short drama and tragedy film called “Shahrukh Khan Ki Maut”. Babar Javed is a Pakistani film director and producer. He has served as a producer and directer of worldwide famous such as Qaid-e-Tanhai, Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan, Main Abdul Qadir Hoon, Mera Saaein, Bashar Momin, Aasmanon Pay Likha, Mor Mahal and much more. All these series were under his own production house A&B Entertainment. The production house is co-owned by actor Asif Raza Mir, who has now turned into a filmmaker and along with Javed even he keeps his interest in the direction of the series to put a good story in front of the audience. Javed has been honored with eight Lux Style Awards for his work as a director and producer. Recently in 2016, he was awarded his first ARY Film Award nomination for producing Manto a biopic in 2015.

Humayun Saeed has been known famously across Pakistan and its film industry for his great acting skills and also as a producer of films. This talented and famous personality was born on the 27th day of July in the year 1971 in Karachi, Pakistan. Humayun is one of the five siblings that he has. Humayun studied in college for the degree of Bachelors in Commerce after which he started working at a factory for garments which was named H. Nizam Din (Pvt) Ltd for the post of a Production Manager for four years from 1991 to 1995. He entered the film industry through the movie Inteha in the year 1996. His debut TV play was Ye Jahan. Since then he has appeared in 64 television dramas and movies. When he decided to get into the film industry, his parents rebuked him and became disappointed with his decision.

Adnan Siddiqui is a well-known Pakistani actor. He was born on 23 October, 1969. His birth place is Karachi in Pakistan. He acted in many television shows and commercials. In 1990’s, he began his acting career. He became famous for acting in popular television serial Uroosa that was telecasted on PTV. In 2005, he married Palwasha. In 1999, he participated in famed Travel and reality show titled Gulls & Guys. In this show, he was assigned to the destination of Rome. Shoaib Mansoor directed this travel show. Along with Adnan, other celebrities like Salman Ahmad, Fakhr-e-Alam, Junaid Jamshed, Captain Abdullah Mahmood and Shehryar Jehangir were also there in the show. This show was aired on PTV.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a renowned singer worldwide. He was born on 9 December 1973 in Faisalabad, Pakistan.

He is famous for his melodious voice and is nephew of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. He is very popular in Bollywood and Lollywood and has been active from the last few years. His numerous albums have been released and loved by music lovers. He got his early training from Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan who also was his uncle, after that he joined his group at 15 years age. In 1985, he went to UK with group his uncle and sang solo qawwalis at a Birhingam concert.

He debuted in Bollywood from Mann Ki Lagan song from movie Paap. He had performed at various worldwide famous venues like Wembley Arena and Manchester Arena. He collaborated and also contributed in various Hollywood sound tracks in movies like Dead Man Walking and showed his talent. Various other Hollywood tie ups have also been there with him.

This year his song Mere Naina Kafir Ho Gaye from Dolly ki Doli was a great hit. His recent song Jaruri Tha became a hit instantly featuring Big Boss fame jodi Kushal Tandon and Gauhar khan.

Popular Pakistani actor Imran Abbas, famous for his good looks and striking eye color, was born on October 15, 1982 in the city of Lahore. He has dabbled in modeling, written Urdu poetry and presented shows apart from acting and is also an architect, having studied it in the Lahore National College of Arts. Even from a young age, he was considered the actor of the family as they called him “dramabaaz” lovingly.

Faisal Qureshi is a well-known Pakistani anchor and actor who acted in almost all types of character roles in television and films. He was born on October 26, 1974 in Lahore, Punjab. His father is Abid Qureshi and his mother is Afshan Qureshi, one of the most popular film actress in Lahore, Pakistan. Faisal was discovered after his recurrent visit to the set while his mother is on shoot. The actor got married for three times; the first time was when he is only 18-years old and got divorced with one daughter after three years of marriage. Faisal remarries to Ayesha Agha when he was 24-years old but after 18-months, they got divorced with a son. Recently, he remarries to Sana and they now lived in Karachi, Pakistan. 

The actor started his career through the play, Emergency Ward on PTV, as a child actor. He is also part of the very popular Pakistani crime-based series, Andhera Ujala on the same channel in 1984. Faisal received various awards for his outstanding performances as an actor and as a host from 2010 to 2011.

Faisal also appeared as a jury in Dum Hai To Entertain Kar on ARY Digital and in Nachle. He is also the anchor of the show, Hero Banney Ki Tarang, also from ARY. In 2010, he hosted the morning show, Muskurati Morning, together with Ayesha Khalid on TVOne Global. The show earned the Best Morning Show Award in 2011. Faisal also donned telefilms from 2008 to 2010. He appeared in the episode, Qissaon Ki Chaadar on Hum TV’s Resham Si Shaam. Shehryar Zaidi is a well-known, senior Pakistani actor. He predominantly acts in TV serials and shows. He is known to play the current age dramatic roles of a father on screen. Also, many of his family members too happen to be related to the showbiz and media. Sheharyar Zaidi’s family hails from Uttar Pradesh, India. Being a Pakistani producer, director, Actor, he had experience of 25 years in the film industry and television industry.
