. The series has 28 episodes. The story revolves around the life of women in a typical Pakistani neighborhood. The characters include Shabratan, Aliya, and Mahajeen. Mahajeen is a young, pious widow who is shown arranging marriage for her dead husband’s relative. She is helped by Shabratan, a cunning lady. Shabratan has an innocent daughter named Aliya. Aliya falls in love with a man named Zahid, who is an arrogant and cruel man who behaves the way he does because of his lack in trust in women due to his mother.
