The show starts with Khairad Ahsaan, a mathematics graduate, and the daughter of a widowed mother Maimoona. She is met with an ill fate as she learns they diagnosed her mother with cancer.

When Baseerat, a self-made millionaire and brother of Maimoona, learns of this diagnosis, brings her into his large home in Karachi to get her treated. After some trials and treatments, they learn that her cancer is incurable, upon which Maimoona requests Baseerat to get her daughter married before her demise.

To fulfil her wishes, Baseerat announces marriage between his son Ashar and Khairad, which Baseerat's wife Farida opposes. Regardless of the situations that stall the marriage, Kahirad and Ashar marry.
