Dil Ka Kia Rung Karun is a Pakistani emotional TV serial that aired on HUM TV in 2015. This serial deals with an important social issue. When a woman becomes a widow her whole life takes a three-sixty-degree turn. Everything changes from the way they dress to the way she is looked at. This serial highlights this issue in the society. A young girl had just started her married life but fate had other plans for her. Soon after she gets married she and her husband get into a serious accident which leaves her husband dead and she becomes his widow.
Just after this serious loss, she gets showered with the sympathy of the people. Some people start to taunt her and her presence in her husband’s life. A grieving wife is not allowed to grieve peacefully but to adhere to the duties of a widow. In the male-dominated society, she is deemed to not move on in her life and live as a widow forever. Will she be able to surpass this mentality of society?
